Since 2007, the Adaptation Fund has worked to empower those most disproportionately impacted by environmental degradation and climate change, aligning with the theme of this year’s Earth Day.

Having committed around $850 million to over 120 projects in 100 countries, the Fund expects the next decade to be defined by adaptation and resilience.

Mikko Ollikainen, manager of the Adaptation Fund, describes how the Fund continues to support communities during the pandemic and explains why financing adaptation projects is vital for the years ahead.
