US oil billionaire Charles Koch would consider supporting Democrat frontrunner Hillary Clinton for president, he told ABC News at the weekend.

Speaking of his disgust with the Republican field, he said “it’s possible” Clinton would make a better leader.

Although he added: “We would have to believe her actions would be quite different than her rhetoric. Let me put it that way.”

Clinton, who has been attacked by Democrat rival Bernie Sanders for taking campaign contributions from oil interests, rebuffed the quasi-endorsement.

“Not interested in endorsements from people who deny climate science and try to make it harder for people to vote,” she tweeted.
