COP18 (29/11/12) – Florence Bernard of the ASB Partnership for Tropical Forest Margins explains her view that the private sector has a significant role to play in the REDD+ programme.

Bernard highlights the large gap between necessary and pledged financial investment in REDD+, which she asserts the private sector can assist with.

Bernard also argues that innovation for REDD+ is also a key role of the private sector. She states that although the private sector can drive deforestation it can also be an important part of the solution.
