CBD COP11 (13/10/2012) – A security officer working at the COP11 biodiversity negotiations gives his perspective on environmental issues.

The officer asserts that we have to take action outside of summits like these as well as inside.

In particular the officer emphasises the importance of protecting the environment for the sake of those living in rural areas for whom trees and forests are their livelihoods. He says that government policy must work to protect rural areas.
