COP20 (11/12/14) – Donna L. Goodman and Bruno Maia of the Earth Child Institute talk to RTCC about their organisation’s work campaigning with and for children on climate change. Bruno highlights their project Global Action Classroom which connects children across the world to share and discuss their experiences of the environment. Donna talks about their work advocating for the role of children in adaptation, especially the need for adaptation funds to go towards education. Lastly Bruno discusses the necessity of involving children in the negotiating process, given the proportion of the world’s population they comprise and the extent to which their futures will be linked to climate change.
