COP19: B.E.E. Molewa reflects post Durban progress

COP19 (21/11/13) –B.E.E. Molewa, Minister Water and Environmental Affairs Republic of South Africa reflects on different areas of the negotiations.

She looks back at COP17, in Durban, and the package that was created there. The Durban Platfrom , Kyoto Protocol second commitment period and pre 2020 goals were all agreed to in Durban. Since then some progress has been made, but she says that clear moves need to be made in Warsaw to pave the way for Lima and finally Paris in order for a 2015 agreement to be made.

As a facilitator of the loss and damage discussions she explains the state of play between countries.
