Climate Home News offers internships to selected candidates we think we can offer an experience that will set them up for a successful career in journalism.

The three month position is:

  • Full time
  • Paid a London living wage of £10.20/hr
  • At our office in central London

Primarily, we want you to come away from this time able to write fast, strong, well-researched news stories in a spare tone – think Reuters style. We will teach you:

  • To write strong, clean news copy
  • To write to deadlines
  • Interviewing techniques
  • How to write for a global and diverse audience
  • As much about climate change in politics as you can fit in your head

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience writing news and/or a recognised journalism qualification
  • An ambition to establish a career in journalism, but who are just starting out
  • Interest and knowledge of climate change, environment or international diplomacy
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
