COP19: Nick Dunlop on renewable energy

COP19 (20/11/13) – Nick Dunlop the Secretary-General of the Climate Parliament talks about the importance of renewable energy.

They are a global network of members of parliament from across the globe that share an interest in solving the climate problem and want to see a transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

The Parliament works with partners in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Arab region. They work with their members on providing ideas on how to implement new laws, budget priorities and policies that encourage private authorities to invest in renewable energy. Their funding comes from development agencies and their main priority is to see a transition to renewable energy.

Mitigating climate change is simple as it requires a reduction in emissions and renewable energy is the solution to that.
