COP19 (20/11/13) – Marta Szigeti Bonifert and Zsuzsanna Iványi from the Regional Environmental Centre talk about their work in Europe.
Their organisation came straight out of the system and political changes that came of central and Eastern Europe. They bridge the gap between countries in all regions of Europe with the mission of creating a better environment.
They do no advocacy work but instead work with all stakeholders to enable them to get the right information and also provide a neutral table for them to address their environmental issues.
They say many European countries have not prepared to adapt to the effects of climate change. Hungry for example has no strategy for adaption.
