COP19: Tempa Gyaltsen Zamlha speaks about Tibetan Plateau

COP19 (17/11/13) – Tempa Gyaltsen Zamlha an Environment and Development Desk Researcher at the University of East Anglia talks about the effect climate change has had to the Tibetan Plateau.

He says that the temperature rise on the Tibetan Plateau is twice than that of the world average. This is worrying because it has the largest amount of glaciers outside the two poles hence its nickname ‘the third pole’. He speaks about the impact that this is have on the livelihoods of those living in the Tibetan Plateau.
