“In the last few years the linkage between the realities on the ground and what people are facing have increased, but still importantly people do not understand.

“Africa is dependent on climate and rain fed agriculture, so we have a challenge. There is also a domineering ‘God’ issue which brings a sense of powerlessness.

“We need national and state governments to deliver. We cannot wait for international negotiations because every day people are dying.”
