COP18 (06/12/12) – Russel Mills, Global Director Energy & Climate Policy, Dow Europe calls for energy and resource efficiency to play a greater role in emissions reduction efforts.

“Efficiency is definitely the under-exploited opportunity. These events have been going on for 18 years and in the meantime emissions are accelerating still and one of the reasons is that we haven’t been able to mainstream a solution that has benefits for all and progress,” says Mills.

“Efficiency can do all of this. If you do it right you save energy and all sorts of other co-benefits in jobs and a more skilled workforce. We all live in buildings, the technology is ready, we can all contribute.”
