COP18: Time to use positive climate action message

COP18 (03/12/12) – Nic Balthazar from Sing for the Climate, explains how protests can influence politicians.

The Sing for the Climate project saw 380,000 people unite to call for climate action. Balthazar says using a more positive message is important with so much of the climate debate focusing on tired tales of imminent disaster.

“Protests brought down the Berlin wall, they do influence politicians,” says Balthazar. “People are more aware and more involved with change debate than we think. We’ve proven this, but you need to use a more positive and engaging approach.”
