He says that climate change is a high priority for the African Development Bank and that they are always looking to build resilience when they offer developmental support. He talks about he $6.5 billion they have pledged over the next five years for climate change action plans in the region including more resilient infrastructure, climate smart agriculture, provisions for water, clean energy etc.

He also says the Bank is active in helping African countries access resources from climate change funds. He warns that often a lack of preparedness has hindered the ability for the region to access such funds so the Bank is already looking at how it can assist countries to access the financial support through the Green Climate Fund.
