COP18: Agriculture should not be dismissed in UN climate talks, says UNCCD Chief

COP18 (03/12/12) – Luc Gnacadja, Executive Secretary of the UNCCD says agriculture should take a more central role in the climate talks and voices concern that the issue has been pushed back to COP19.

He says when we talk about pro-poor adaptation, food security and agriculture then agriculture is one of the most important issues. He also said it is one of the most important issues when we are talking about national measures for climate change mitigation in the developing world.
