COP18: Climate change solutions dependant on access to scientific data

COP18 (27/11/12) – Arend Kuster, Managing Director, Qscience.com talks about the importance of strong peer reviewed processes for climate research and the need to have more data available under open access systems.

He says that it is important that science and data is validated by experts and that people should look at the editorial boards of any publication to see the scope of it.

He says that there is a need for more data and more discussion on such data. He says the more of this that is available for free the better it is for science. He says middle income countries are hardest hit by solutions as there are scheme to help poorer nations to access this research.

He warns that without the data we will not find the solutions to climate change.
