COP18 (28/11/12) – Sebastiao Panzo, Communications Officer at Opaia talks about his work trying to provide access to energy for all communities in Angola.

He says the challenge that the organisation faces is finding ways to provide energy services for a country that was gripped by war by 30 years where the infrastructure was destroy. He says solar energy is one solution.

He says the group are trying to offer solar facilities for over 2000 people in the country, both in the urban areas and in rural communities.

He talks about how young the company is and how 75-80% of the Angolan population are now classed as youth.
