CBD COP11: “Do origami, save paper, save trees!”

Rio Conventions Pavilion TV, CBD COP11 (18/10/2012) – Govind Gopal Kulkarni, an origamist, explains how he is using origami to promote conservation of paper and trees.

Kulkarni explains that trees are an important part of biodiversity and their protection is vital. He sees origami as a good way of communicating this message.

Kulkarni states that he started origami in his 30s and has since become good enough to teach people the ancient Japanese art.

Kulkarni continues to show RTCC how to make a talking bird, while explaining that he can also make things of everyday utility such as pen holders, pen stands and tools for teaching mathematics.
