Bette Loiselle, University of Florida & Gillian Bowser, Colorado State University discuss their new Collabatorium to raise the numbers of women working in science, as women are currently unrepresented.  You cannot solve a global problem like climate change using half the world’s brain capacity. They discuss how women should have more input into policy because of the diversity and creativity of ideas they bring. They talk about the projects they are working on – on how their task is to come up with a research agenda based on the policy discussions in Cancun.  They finish on how science is actually losing women in the industry, and therefore missing out on a significant contribution.
