Didas Massaburi, Mayor of Dar Es Salaam, discusses the adaptation programmes in operation they have in his city explaining how they engage the public. He talks about the planning they are doing around the slums, and the impacts of climate change, especially flooding which makes this essential. He illustrates their adaptation measures further referring to their mangrove planting project, funded by ICLEI. He finishes on analysing how to empower and engage the public.
