Mary Power, Director of Resource Mobilization Office at the World Meteorological Organization, talks about their pilot project in Uganda, in partnership with Ericsson and the Ugandan Meteorological department. It’s arisen out of concern of the mortality rates of fishermen on Lake Victoria, and establishes a system to warn them of severe weather.
