Rio+20 (21/06/2012) – Fred Zuelli, Managing Director, Mibelle talks about his work producing plant based material for the cosmetics industry. The industry is always looking for new plant based materials – often exotic and rare plants – that could give more functional properties for cosmetics application.

Zuelli explains that often these plants are hard to reach, are protected, cannot be cultivated are not available in the abundance needed. Mibelle found a new technology to overcome these problems, enabling them to grow plants in a lab – using little water and not interacting with the nature, expect to gain the original plant tissues – in huge amounts.
