Rio+20: Sharing information key to positive change

Rio+20 (17/06/12): Manuel Santos from Instituto E talks to Pavilion TV about how Instituto E started and what the organisation does.

Santos explains that Instituto E was started by Oskar Metsavaht after the original earth summit as Metsavaht believed that there was a lack of communication at the conference.

Instituto E believes that sharing information is the key to positive change.  Santos speaks of the many projects the institute has going on to encourage change such as producing fashionable quality clothes that are sustainable to factories where 5 out of the 10 workers are disabled. Instituto E also gives prizes to companies they feel have done well in these fields. Santos wants people to remember that money doesn’t make the world go round, people make the world go round.
