Rio+20: Brazil’s move to a green economy

Rio+20 (15/06/2012) –Michael Vahrenkamp, STEAG Energy Services do Brazil talks to Pavilion TV about the importance of making good policies for business when it comes to sustainable development and the green economy.

Working in Brazil he said there is a feeling that the country is sustainable and a green country in terms of renewable energy sources – particularly the use of hydropower and biomass – but that things could still be improved.

In many sectors – particularly wind – there is still the need for policies to help incentivise investors to get involved, but with Brazil being a large country there is no shortage of potential investors in these new technologies.
