Rio+20: Businesses want metrics and goals for sustainability

Rio+20 (14/06/2012) – Patricia Muricy, Deloitte, Enterprise Risk Services talks to Pavilion TV about the trends in Brazilian companies addressing sustainability. She talks of a recent survey conducted by Deloitte (of 108 companies in Brazil, representing 7% of the countries GDP) 84% now have sustainable practices in their business and 12% intend to do so. Of this, large businesses are most likely to have practices already in place.

She says businesses would be interested to see clear goals and metrics come out of the Rio+20 conference that would allow them to act further while still making them competitive – if they have to act so does their competitors.
