IPCC official Taka Hiraishi talks about co-benefits, which allow for economic development through the use of climate-friendly actions. He talked about a specific $200 million Japanese development loan to a Chinese city that also created big reductions in emissions from that city, and he calls on those types of co-benefit situations to be explored further.
