Elijah explains that the Red Cross not only engages in disaster risk management during emergencies but also focuses on long-term resilience building in vulnerable communities. The Red Cross is at COP21 to share experiences with like-minded partners and to learn how the impacts of climate change will affect the communities they work with. Elijah introduces the One Billion Coalition which was launched by the Red Cross calling upon their partner organisations to build a more coordinated program to engage in disaster emergencies and in building resilience. Finally, he explains how the Kenya Red Cross has specifically included the green spaces in their strategic plan and resilience program and are working with the Kenyan government on the Sustainable Environment Resolution Program which aims to give back to the environment
