COP20 (05/12/14) – Sanchez explains how tropical dry forests act as a significant barometer of climate change. Longer dry seasons have been observed in tropical dry forests in northern Mexico and Brazil, whilst dry forests north of the equator in Costa Rica and Ecuador are stable. Decreases in the dry season in Bolivia and Chile have also been observed.
